program assistant and office coordinator

The opportunity

LNC is seeking a dynamic 25 – 30 hour per week part-time program assistant and office coordinator with a record of success in event planning, office management, and accounting.  The program assistant and office coordinator will have a portfolio of responsibilities, with key areas of responsibility including:

Assisting the LNC president with office administration.  Responsibilities to include coordinating board communications; assisting with meeting preparation and tracking financial data; supporting fundraising and development efforts, including regular mailings, invoicing, and tracking responses.

Assisting the LNC program director with execution of monthly program sessions.  Responsibilities to include coordinating program logistics such as session materials, PowerPoints, surveys, and general session materials; communication with participants and session presenters; and maintaining database of applicants.

Assisting the LNC alumni relations coordinator with execution of alumni events.  Responsibilities to include coordinating event logistics, tracking RSVPs, and maintaining the alumni database.

Key Working Relationships

Reporting: The program assistant and office coordinator will report to the president of LNC and assist the program director and alumni relations coordinator.

Team and Interactions:  While the program assistant and office coordinator will report directly to the president, collaboration with the program director and alumni relations coordinator is essential.  A team approach to interactions with current participants, board members, alumni volunteers, and co-workers is necessary to ensure a rewarding experience for constituents and a supportive and productive work environment.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet and exceed the minimum qualifications listed below:

  • Minimum Associates degree – Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Technology fluency including extensive knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
  • Swift competency in MailChimp, Salesforce, and WordPress software will be required if not brought to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personable/friendly demeanor
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a team environment while handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • A self-starter who enjoys taking initiative
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to manage competing priorities

Compensation:  Compensation will be determined based on experience.
