Class XXI Fights Hunger in Greensboro

Leadership North Carolina Class XXI has launched a city-by-city food drive to fight hunger as we travel across the state.

Each Class XXI action group has been challenged to outdo the others, and we want LNC alumni and staff involved as well.  If you will be attending the Tuesday night reception or any of the class sessions in Greensboro next week, please consider making a food donation from the list of items below.

Donations for the Greensboro Education Session will be made to the Out of the Garden Project.  This Greensboro-based organization began by supplying a small bag of food to 10 families with school-aged children each Friday so that the children and their families would have something to eat during the weekend.  The OOTGP now provides more than 900 bags of food each weekend to elementary, middle, and high school students and their families.

Donations of any nonperishable foods are appreciated, but the OOTGP expressed a particular need for the following:

  • Canned Protein Beans (Kidney, Pinto, Black, etc.)
  • Canned Meat (tuna, chicken, etc.)
  • Canned Fruit

Please bring all items to either the reception or the class sessions.  Thank you for your generosity and your consideration.

With gratitude,

LNC Class XXI
