Job Opening: LNC Program Assistant and Office Coordinator
LNC is seeking a dynamic 25-hour per week part-time program assistant and office coordinator with a record of success in event planning and office management. The program assistant and office coordinator will have a portfolio of responsibilities, with key areas of responsibility including:
Assisting the LNC president with office administration. Responsibilities to include coordinating board communications; assisting with meeting preparation and tracking financial data; supporting fundraising and development efforts, including regular mailings and tracking responses.
Assisting the LNC program director with execution of monthly program sessions. Responsibilities to include coordinating reception logistics, invitation lists, tracking RSVPs, and general event support; communication with participants and session presenters; and maintaining database of applicants and alumni.
Key Working Relationships
Reporting: The program assistant and office coordinator will report to the president of LNC and assist the program director.
Team and Interactions: While the program assistant and office coordinator will report directly to the president, collaboration with the program director is essential. A team approach to interactions with current participants, board members, alumni volunteers, and co-workers is necessary to ensure a rewarding experience for constituents and a supportive and productive work environment.
The successful candidate will meet and exceed the minimum qualifications listed below:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Technology fluency including extensive knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
- Swift competency in iContact, Salesforce, and WordPress software will be required if not brought to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Personable/friendly demeanor
- Detail oriented with the ability to work in a team environment while handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- A self-starter who enjoys taking initiative
Compensation will be determined based on experience.

Since 1995, Leadership North Carolina (LNC) has provided cutting-edge programming to current and emerging leaders from across the state. Every summer LNC selects a class of engaged citizens to learn about issues related to government, economic development, health and human services, education, and the environment.
