LNC Class XXII to Graduate May 15

On May 15th the 55 members of LNC Class XXII will gather in the Old House Chamber of the North Carolina State Capitol to receive their graduation certificates and to celebrate their LNC experience.  They will reflect on a journey that took them from one end of the state to the other as they built connections, tackled challenges, and learned about opportunities for making a difference.

The members of Class XXII stand out for their openness, their good humor, and their commitment to paying it forward.  Every LNC class raises money for the William Garrett Fund, a resource used to provide scholarships for future LNC participants.  Class XXIII set a new record for Garrett Fund pledges, raising an incredible $46,716 with 100% participation from class members.

As they shift from being LNC participants to becoming LNC alumni, this group of enthusiastic and committed leaders is already hard at work planning content for the Class XXIII program year.  Under the leadership of program chair Kristy Teskey of the John M. Belk Endowment, members of Class XXII will build on their own program experience to design the sessions for next year’s class.

The addition of 55 new alumni puts LNC over the milestone of 1,000 program graduates.  The majority of LNC graduates stay in North Carolina, creating a powerful network across all regions and sectors of the state.  To help engage and maintain connections across this network, Class XXII members Natalie Perkins of Clean Design and Armistead Sapp of SAS will fill seats on LNC’s Board of Directors as incoming alumni co-chairs.  They will join Class XXI alumni co-chairs Jessica Graham of Belk and Jim Rose of Yadkin Bank in supporting all of LNC’s alumni.  If you are interested in being involved with alumni events or finding ways to connect across the LNC network, please email info@leadershipnc.org.
