LNC invites current and emerging leaders to apply for Leadership North Carolina Class XXV (2017 – 2018). Each year, through a competitive application process, LNC selects a class of 50 – 55 individuals to participate in this prestigious program.
The LNC program offers a unique opportunity for leaders from across the state to expand their personal and professional networks while learning about challenges and opportunities in North Carolina. With a focus on turning knowledge into action, LNC program sessions focus on government, education, health and human services, economic development, the environment, and the intersections of these topics.
The LNC experience consists of six two-day sessions held in locations around the state. Sessions include presentations from experts, experiential learning opportunities, facilitated discussions, and opportunities to explore unique aspects of the state. The program application and links to more information are available here. The application for Class XXV will be open through June 30, 2017.
If you are interested in participating, we hope you will apply. If you know of promising candidates, please help spread the word by sharing this article. In an effort to make the program accessible to participants from all parts of the state and to expand our alumni base to all 100 North Carolina counties, LNC continues to pursue our 100 County Initiative. Through this effort LNC is actively recruiting participants from the 16 counties not currently represented by LNC alumni or class members. If you know a promising candidate from one of these counties, please encourage him or her to apply and let LNC know how we can support these candidates. Some scholarship funding is available.
