Last summer, Leadership North Carolina partnered with our friends at the Institute for Emerging Issues to learn and practice skills for civic conversations across differences. LNC alumni and friends engaged in civic conversations and learned how they could take the skills practiced into their communities to turn the tide of rising rancor and deepening division in North Carolina.
This year, we are partnering again with the Institute for Emerging Issues as we explore how we, as leaders, can use our time, talent, and energy to support our regional communities. Have you ever wondered what your local regional councils of government are working on and how you could support them? These regional events will explore opportunities to be mobilized within your region of North Carolina. The event will consist of a presentation from the Institute for Emerging Issues and a local regional council of government, followed by breakout sessions to discuss your region and how you can best engage.
These events will create space for our alumni and friends to connect and reconnect with LNC. We believe that creating opportunities for folks to gather, learn something new, and strengthen their networks is key in advancing NC forward.
