Kelly Turner serves as associate director of Leadership North Carolina. She brings to this role more than 25 years of experience in project management, communications, and consulting for a variety of nonprofits.  She recently earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Kelly studied English and political science at the University of Richmond and earned her MA in English from Simmons College in Boston. In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking, paddle-boarding, scuba diving, and walks with rescue hounds Abbott and Tobin. Kelly and her husband, Mark, have a senior at UNC Asheville and a recent graduate of UNC Chapel Hill.

Kelly is a member of the Wake County Library Commission, a regular volunteer at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, and a devoted supporter of the serial comma. The shift to working from home has been very good for her ping pong game.
