LNC invites current and emerging leaders to apply for Leadership North Carolina Class XXVI (2018–2019). Each year, through a competitive application process, LNC selects a class of 50–55 individuals to participate in this prestigious program.
The LNC program offers a unique opportunity for leaders from across the state to expand their personal and professional networks while learning about challenges and opportunities in North Carolina. With a focus on turning knowledge into action, LNC program sessions focus on government, education, health and human services, economic development, the environment, and the intersections of these topics.
The LNC experience consists of six two-day sessions held in locations around the state. Sessions include presentations from experts, experiential learning opportunities, facilitated discussions, and opportunities to explore unique aspects of the state. The program application and links to more information are available here. The application for Class XXVI will be open through June 29, 2018.
LNC is committed to making the program accessible to participants from all parts of the state and to expanding our alumni base to all 100 North Carolina counties. As part of the 100 County Initiative, LNC is actively recruiting participants from the 15 counties not currently represented by LNC alumni or class members. Some scholarship funding is available through the BCBSNC 100 County Initiative Scholarship and through the William Garrett Fund. A single application for both scholarships is available on the Apply page of the LNC website and must be completed in conjunction with the full program application.
If you are interested in participating, we hope you will apply. If you know of promising candidates, please help spread the word by sharing this article.
