Apply to Leadership North Carolina

The application period for Leadership North Carolina Class 34 (2026-2027) is now open. Applications will be accepted through 5 pm on June 24, 2026. Please review the following content carefully. Links to complete the online application and submit other required materials are at the end of the page.

Application Overview

All application materials must be submitted by 5 pm on June 24, 2026. Completed applications must include:

  • Submission of the online application, including a brief bio and a photo
  • Two letters of recommendation submitted directly to Leadership North Carolina by your references–letters should be requested immediately using the link below
  • Payment of the $80 application fee

Candidates wishing to be considered for our limited scholarship funds must also complete the separate scholarship application.

Applicants will be notified by email when all of their materials, including their recommendation letters, have been received. Applications will be reviewed by LNC’s selection committee in July and invitations to participate in LNC Class 34 will be extended by early August.

Some organizations have an internal process for selecting their applicant(s) for Leadership North Carolina. We recommend checking with whoever handles the LNC partnership for your organization to make sure you are following your organization’s protocols.

Application Tips

  • Save your work frequently by checking the “Save my progress and resume later” box on each page of the online application. You will be asked to enter an email address and enter and confirm a password each time you save your work. You may use the same email address and password each time.
  • Compose your narrative responses in a separate document and paste them into the application. This creates an extra level of backup for your longer responses.
  • Upload your brief bio as a PDF (no Word documents, please).
  • Share the recommendation letter request link (below) with your two references as soon as possible so they can submit letters before the June 24 deadline.
