Steven Pearson is a Corporate Citizenship leader at IBM and has expertise in corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, K-12 education, entrepreneurship, economic development, disaster response and employee engagement. In his current role, Steven serves as the public face of IBM to advance corporate thought leadership by strengthening IBM’s community relations, government relations, media relations and the public perception of IBM in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky.
Steven is a change agent and a purpose driven leader who is committed to making the world a better place. In 2015 Steven was featured in Business Insider as one of 17 IBM “Rockstars” who is changing the direction of the company based on his leadership in Angola as part of IBM’s premier leadership program Corporate Services Corps. Steven is also a recipient of the prestigious Marshall Memorial Fellowship by the German Marshall Fund and has received numerous awards for his impact in philanthropy. In his spare time, he enjoys motivational speaking on topics such as leadership and fatherhood. Mr. Pearson received his bachelors degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and Masters degree in Education Entrepreneurship from University of Pennsylvania. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of the Greater Triangle, Board of Directors for Triangle Community Foundation and Board of Directors for East Durham Children’s Initiative.
